Moisture and chemical resistance
Wood is highly porous and can absorb any liquid encountered. The outrigger pads are continuously exposed to groundwater, precipitation, and any potential contaminants in the groundwater. This may include motor oil, road salt, gasoline and other chemicals.
UHMWPE rectangle crane pad can better resist the harmful effects of moisture and chemicals. UHMW is not affected by either, so your crane foot pads will not degrade due to exposure to these elements.
